Doctors and physical therapists weren’t sure what to tell Marcy and Tom Lasley when their second child came into the world 27 years ago. Cameron Lasley was born in 1982 with Down syndrome, and in those first days, pediatricians didn’t know whether he would walk or talk or do anything other kids do.
These days Cam does more than walk and talk. He struts and raps. If all goes according to plan — his plan — he’ll soon be on a radio near you.
