SYNOPSIS

This is a portrait of two artists with intellectual disabilities who use their art to express themselves and reflect the world as they see it.

Johannes could not talk until he was 7 years old. But he drew snapshot pictures that told what he was experiencing. And so began a different kind of artistry.

Anette draws ordinary people. With simple pencil-strokes she expresses those strong emotions we all have inside. Her picture The loving couple is known throughout the city.
